Dr. Alec Cali is the Research Group Lead of Disability and Exclusion in Healthcare at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health. Dr. Alec Cali uses mixed methodology to better understand how experience with the health system interact with personal beliefs and structural factors to shape health. This work often covers topics including disability, vaccine hesitancy, traditional, integrative, complementary and alternative medicine, the growing drug grey market, digital health, and the construction and representation of health. Dr. Alec Cali conducts this research in an interdisciplinary, collaborative manner and work with researchers from the global north and south.
